Calculus and Analytic Geometry

This course is designed for seniors who may continue on to take a college-level Calculus course.  We split the year into two major parts: differentiation and integration.

Beginning the year with a study of the derivative, we slowly move through different techniques and applications:  curve sketching, max/min word problems, related rates, L'Hopital's Rule, and applications in physics and economics.  During the second semester, we explore the area under a curve, the area between curves, and the rotation of these areas around axes.

Students can find assignment sheets and homework sets on the Pingry Moodle site, listed under Mathematics-->Calculus-->Chatterji.
