Classroom Songs

This simple song is used as a warmup.  It is sung in unison or as a round.  "Jubilate Deo" means "rejoice in the Lord".

"Swinging the Alphabet", or "The B A Bay Song", is a novelty song sung by The Three Stooges in a 1938 film. It is the only full-length song performed by the Stooges in their short films.  In 2005, film historian Richard Finegan identified the composer of the song as Septimus Winner, who had originally published it in 1875 as "The Spelling Bee".

"Thula Klizeo" was composed by Joseph Shabalala in 1987 while riding in a taxi in New York City. At that moment, he was homesick for his native South Africa and he missed his children. Translation:  Thula (be still) klizeo (my heart), Na la pa sey kiya (even here I am at home).
