My connection to Pingry Drama was forged in 1998 when I appeared as a skating penguin and a snow wolf in the first-ever middle school play, Maricela de la Luz Lights the World. A decade later, I am happy to extend the opportunity to participate in theatrical productions to the students at Short Hills. Since I first joined the Short Hills faculty in 2008 (as Miss Hogan), the drama curriculum has been extended to all grade levels and student productions have grown to two musicals per year, with additional class-based performance opportunities. I enjoy watching my students discover themselves and others through dramatic arts.

In addition to my Pingry diploma, I have earned a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Southern California, concentrating in directing and theatre management, and an M.A. in Educational Theatre (K-12) and English Education (7-12) from New York University.

I live in Somerville with my husband and our cat, Lazarus. I appear frequently in community theatre productions in the Somerset County area, particularly at Circle Players in Piscataway. To see what I'm currently up to outside of Pingry, check my personal website (http://amhonstage.weebly.com).
